Here We Are!

I’m not going to unload my entire resume here, feel free to ask for it, but working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities is my entire life and I would love to share my knowledge! Having spoken with other social workers in other fields, they have people with special needs sit across from them and they are at a loss of what to do. They don’t get the answers they need, or any at all. Hospitals and clinics are overwhelmed by an entire clinical team from an agency telling them “this is how you work with the person who just came to you!” First responders getting a call to the same house again for self-injurious behavior. Wouldn’t it be easier if they taught this stuff in school? I agree. Until that time, we are here to come to you and teach you as much as we can about the people that you’ll be seeing in your practice setting, offices, clinics, etc.

This population deserves practitioners who understand how to work with them and you deserve to be able to do your job with as much ease as possible. We are here to make that happen.

Educating those who serve. For those who deserve.
